Anyone who has ever broken a bone in the leg or foot knows all to well what crutches are used for. They are not the most comfortable device to use at times but they do help with mobility. They are designed to take the weight of your body so your legs don’t have to. The bones can rest and get busy healing.

Learning how to walk with crutches properly is very important. The doctor or nurse should demonstrate this before the crutches are released. Using crutches improperly can result in falls and further injuries.
Crutches are usually available through the doctor or medical office. They are usually signed out and returned once the leg is healed. However, crutches can be bought through a variety of sources. Buying crutches on eBay is a good idea. One can save money and they are theirs to keep for the next accident.
